9-month-old E is undeterred by the pediatricians’ warning that babies should not use walkers. Since we didn’t buy her one of those devices, she substituted a chair. She can “walk” quite a distance with it. This is, of course, not the proper walking, as she can’t yet keep her balance all on her own, without leaning on a device.
