CIMG7708 Under the hood of RAVolt, a 1996 RAV4 converted to an electric car and displayed at the Maker Faire 2007. “See how you too can take a 1996 RAV4, some EV parts (including lead acid batteries) and just under $10K to create a vehicle that gets 30 miles range per charge.”

Maker Faire was a two-day event that celebrated arts, crafts, engineering, science projects and the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) mindset. It took place in Austin, Texas in October 2007.
