CIMG8169 Hammocks in the Mayan souvenir shop

CIMG8169 Hammocks in the Mayan souvenir shop in Mexico where our tour bus stopped on the way to the ruins of Tulum. The shop was making and selling replicas of Mayan artifacts. I wasn’t sure if these hammocks were purely decorative, or if they can be actually used according to their function. They look kinda smallish for that. But maybe descendants of the Mayans are shorter in stature than us pale-faced people.

I went on a Gulf of Mexico / Caribbean cruise in November of 2007. Our ship was named Ecstasy. The ship sailed from Galveston TX, to Cozumel and Progresso (Mexico) and back. We got to see some of the archaeological sites of Mexico: Mayan ruins and pyramids.
