This oddity, a two-story courtyard, actually exists in the center of Vilnius, off of the Tilto (“Bridge”) street, close to the Old Town. These trees behind the wall grow from the ground at the second floor level. And the yellow house is built on the second floor level.
I also like “wall with wings”, as I call it. Similar walls appear in several places in Vilnius Old Town.
