ApolloCon used to be a speculative fiction convention in Houston, Texas.

At first there was some speculation whether Frodo and Sam were more than just fiends. That segued into a discussion of slash fiction and fan fiction in general, and concluded that slash fiction, despite often featuring same sex pairings, does not actually address LGBT issues.
