E’s 10th month, February 2006

Chewable food? What kind of novelty is that? E tries to eat a corn puff, which pediatricians recommend giving babies as a first introduction to non-pureed solid food. But her tongue isn’t sure how to handle it and keeps pushing it out of her mouth.

E is undeterred by the pediatricians’ warning that babies should not use walkers. Since we didn’t buy her one of those devices, she substituted a chair. She can walk quite a distance with it. (She can’t yet walk properly, by keep her balance all on her own, without leaning on a device or a person.)

Sleep snuck up and overtook her in mid-crawl, on the carpet.
