Street fashion in Stockholm, Sweden, May of 2006
In 2006, magenta hair was pretty rare in the United States. It took another 5-10 years for everybody to start dyeing their hair in “fashion colors”. To be fair, fashion colored-hair was rare in Stockholm too, but at least it wasn’t so unheard of that you wouldn’t stumble upon a magenta-haired individual on a subway. It was enough of a novelty for me that I was compelled to take a picture.

Within minutes of seeing the magenta-haired person, I saw another person with purple hair, “metal” attire and a bag with a skull on it in the subway in Stockholm.

And finally, here is a really spectacular mohawk seen on the streets of Stockholm. This woman’s blond hair is shaped into a narrow crest that could be as much as half a meter tall (a. k. a. about a foot and a half, if not more). What magic makes it stand on its end, I will never fathom.
The rest of her outfit, with those black-and-white zebra stripes and red leggings, is pretty cool too.
