In 2006, magenta hair was pretty rare in the United States. It took another 5-10 years for everybody to start dyeing their hair in “fashion colors”. To be fair, fashion colored-hair was rare in Stockholm too, but at least it wasn’t so unheard of that you wouldn’t stumble upon a magenta-haired individual on a subway. It was enough of a novelty for me that I was compelled to take a picture. Within minutes of that, I saw a a purple-colored guy in a metal or goth attire.
