E’s 14th month: June 2006
E is 1 year and 1 month old and is learning to walk.
“Mama said I was a dancer before I could walk…” Unlike the character of the ABBA song, E isn’t dancing in this picture, she is trying to keep her balance while walking.
On my birthday S, E and I went out with a group of people, only they didn’t know they were celebrating my birthday. They got together on the occasion of someone else’s birthday. Since we had no lives of our own, S and I had to surreptitiously sneak my birthday into someone else’s celebration.
We went to a restaurant called Hoover’s Cooking, which serves home-style cooking. It is a kind of place where vegetables are served only as an excuse to eat a lot of butter. Other people’s birthdays give you an excuse to eat at places where your good sense would never let you go eat on your own.
E in sunglasses, way oversized for her face, but with rhinestones!
E’s first shoes: now that she’s walking, she has a use for shoes.
E doesn’t know she is supposed to eat with the spoon, not the spoon.
