World Fantasy Convention 2006, Austin, Texas: Saturday evening
Pictures of various people, mostly writers. On Saturday night there was the World Fantasy Awards ceremony and the traditional banquet, so many writers were more dressed up than usual.

A spectacular hair decoration worn by one of the convention attendees — a red spiky tuft with something resembling a snake or a dragon peeking from underneath.

This person was, IMHO, hands-down best dressed at the World Fantasy Awards banquet. But who am I to judge? I wasn’t at the banquet, I was waiting at the door to pounce at the glamorous people as they poured out of the banquet hall.
Another person in a gorgeous outfit. A very romantic look. Too bad this mysterious stranger wasn’t wearing a name tag.

Jay Lake leads a sing-off at a Saturday night party at the World Fantasy Convention. The prize was supposed to be a book… I think. That means that for one person, the giant bag of books that each WFC member got was just expanded by one.
