E has learned to clap her hands. S even said that she claps when he asks her. I was skeptical that a not-yet-9-month-old would be able to follow a command. But then he demonstrated it, by clapping his hands and repeatedly asking the baby: “ clap”. And she did. I think it was more of a case of imitation than following an instruction. Still, this was the first time I saw her imitating something somebody else was doing.
