CIMG2735 A close-up of the wall with wings in Užupis. The wall with wings keeps resurfacing in various places in the city. As seen in this image, one of its segments passes through a courtyard of an old, dilapidated apartment house. I found a similar architectural oddity at a different location in Vilnius. I call that place a “two-level-courtyard”.

I wonder what was the purpose of these structures?
