CIMG6965 Entertainers in SF cliche costumes at the Space Squid / RevolutionSF.com party at ArmadilloCon 2007. I didn’t think they were part of the fandom; rather, they were providing a purely decorative function to the party. Perhaps the costumes were ironic, making fun of how women were portrayed in old science fiction movies or on book covers? And, hard as it is to believe, I didn’t see many people engaging them in a conversation.
